BitzDev (“BitzDev”, “we”, “us”) operates bitz.dev and a set of privately operated services and applications, including the BitzMCPs gateway and the GasFinder application (collectively, the “Services”). BitzDev is a personal project operated by Jon Truland. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Google account information (via Google Sign-In). When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information (such as your name and profile picture) associated with your Google Account. We request only the
openidandemail(and basic profile) scopes — the minimum needed to identify you. - Operational logs. Standard technical information such as IP address, timestamps, and request metadata, used to operate and secure the Services.
We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or other restricted Google user data.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and determine whether you are authorized to access these private, invitation-only Services.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Google user data & Limited Use
BitzDev’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we access only your email address and basic profile for sign-in; we use this data solely to provide and secure user-facing authentication; we do not transfer or sell it; we do not use it for advertising; and humans do not read it except as necessary for security or to comply with the law.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it with third parties except (a) infrastructure providers that help deliver the Services (for example, Google for sign-in and Cloudflare for content delivery), and (b) where required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We retain identity information only while you have access to the Services. You may request access to, or deletion of, your information at any time by emailing jtruland@gmail.com; we will honor verified requests promptly.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
